So much good, so much to listen to. I've long since forgone attempting a true 'Best Of' countdown (although I certainly have Spotify playlists for days), so instead, I shall point you to a truncated look at what I saw live and listened to most, along with some nods to my blogging pals who's countdowns are chock full of goodies. Hope you are comfortable -- time to get all nostalgic about the year that was 2013.

Want to keep the 2013 'Best Of' Momentum going? I definitely suggest the following countdown lists from these blogger pals of yours truly...
Jenn counts down not just her fave songs but her fave albums as well. If R&B and true soul is your weakness (our mutual love for 90's Whitney is uncanny), her blog is can't-be-missed.
Stephen's ear for strong pop is so enviable. He's introduced me to so many brilliant artists -- even just in this year alone (HAIM, Betty Who, Diane Birch, St. Lucia). Basically, he's the type of music lover we all could learn from. As a woman in her 20's now, his music curation speaks to me beyond the Top 40 radio format (but still outside the teen pop realm I basically live in). Get familiar and watch your music library grow.
A relatively new-ish add to my regular blogroll, Adam is a kindred spirit of mine in crafting personal single charts since a young age. Move over, Billboard.
Yuri is really thorough with his 'Best Of' compilation complete with links to Spotify for you Spotihoes like yours truly. So much good to be found here.
I 'luv' D'Luv for his utter snark and wit. He counts down his 'Best' and 'Worst' of 2013 -- and both are worthy perusals.
I think its public knowledge by now that the reason behind why I fell down the KPOP rabbit hole was Nikki of 'Pop Reviews Now'. For a much more thorough look at KPOP in 2013, check out her 'Best of 2013' list.
My friendship with Paul was forged in our mutual love for Simon Curtis -- it's no wonder our love for unabashed sparkle pop continues to this day. His top songs list is in two parts (here and here) and he also breaks down his fave albums and breakout artists. He belongs on your bookmark list.
Brad knows good, glittery pop, mmkay? (Or should it be, muuu-kay?)
Thanks for the shoutout, Mel! You rock! So much goodness here... right on point, as usual! =)
ReplyDeleteLove it! Looks like we had about 15 in common from my top 50.
