NOW KPOPPING: Goodbye, Yesung!

I don't normally do this but I think it needed mentioning, seeing as his vocals were the main reason (alongside Lee Donghae's cuteness) for me falling for Super Junior in the first place.

Today, Yesung becomes the fourth member of Super Junior to join the Korean Army. All men in South Korea are required to serve in the Army for a requisite two years, regardless of profession. Kangin was the first to enter in 2010 when the group was promoting their fourth album Bonamona (Miinah) and returned in time to promote the group's sixth Sexy, Free & Single. Heechul abruptly followed shortly after promotions for fifth album Mr. Simple began in 2011 and leader Leeteuk enlisted this past October.

The good news, odds are that by the time the seventh album comes out (or a potential Super Show 5 in New York City, perhaps?), we will have Heechul back, bringing the total active member count back up to nine.

So here's to you, Golden Throated Yesung. I will miss your utter weirdness, your awkward dancing, your philitrum touching and most of all, your gorgeous husky vocals. Thank you so much for this beautiful moment that is available below at SM Town New York back in 2011. It was the first time that night that I teared up and had goosebumps and it was really all because of you. We will wait for you and we love you.
