18. Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen - Good Time
This debuted in the Top 20, officially making both Owl City & Carly Rae more than one-hit machines. It's much poppier than Owl City's previous fare (but still synthy). For some cynical reason, I wanted to dislike this, but I can't. A great summer jam.
80. Maroon 5 - Wipe Your Eyes
A bonus song from Overexposed, written & produced by J.R. Rotem. It's the "Overexposed" version of the third single ballad M5. Nothing to dislike -- it's much more classic Maroon than the album's singles.
81. Nero - Promises
The fourth (British) single by UK synth group Nero is a doozy and already a certified hit on the Heat Seeking/Bubbling Under Charts. It's already gone to #1 in the UK last summer. We shall see if America is also digging, but for now - I certainly do.
95. Linkin Park - Lost In the Echo
Linkin Park's most compelling single in a long time, mostly thanks to the rap provided by Mike Shinoda, who co-produced this one with Rick Rubin.
97. Big Time Rush - Windows Down
America's main contributor to the Boy Band Bonanza 2012 -- Nickelodeon production Big Time Rush (or are they BTR these days, a la NKOTB?) -- re-assert themselves as a force to be reckoned with versus One Direction & The Wanted by gleefully using a British sample in Blur's "Song 2".
