Fam, I can barely contain my excitement.
I've mentioned this group a few times before, and how psyched I was for more info regarding their upcoming debut project. And now I can say I've been approached by re-incarnated girl group Lady Phoenix about an interview. You may recall the three ladies of Lady Phoenix (in the picture above, from left to right: Melissa Schuman, Ashley Poole and Diana Ortiz) as 3/4 of early 00's teen pop group Dream, a group I openly adored and who, alongside fellow girl group PYT, helped bolster my desire to promote music I believed in (then still in its infant stages, admittedly). The Lady Phoenix project is one I've been stoked about from first listen of their cover of "Fever" back in late 2008/early 2009.
The group are in full swing recording mode, and have just debuted two hot-out-the-oven tracks on their ReverbNation profile page for your enjoyment and devouring, called "Bang Bang" and "Gentleman". It's in keeping with their already established "throwback" sound a la Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics era, with a fresh, girl group twist -- heavier on the harmony and legitimacy than they could have ever hoped for in their earlier days with Dream. All of the tracks available sound markedly different than the current flood of girl group fautter vying for radio attention, and that is a very good thing indeed.
If you have any questions for Ashley, Diana and Melissa, feel free to leave them below in a comment, Twitter them to me via @melismaticdiva, or send 'em in the old fashioned way through e-mail as soon as possible, por favor. I'll do my best to have everyone's questions included, but it will be first come, first serve. :)
And here's a little bit of a reminder of how much these girls kicked ass, even in their early teens. Almost ten years on, and it still sounds amazing blaring outcho speakers...

how exciting :) I look forward to the fruits of your labour... (whatever that means!!)
I want to know if there were ever any plans on reuniting as Dream, with Holly coming back?
Oh, and another thing. Do the girls keep in touch with Kasey Sheridan, who replaced Melissa in Dream?
