Quick update:
Quite a few of you were writing in to me asking if the news was true that my beloved Jada had collaborated with my other beloved four-letter J artist from Boston, JoJo, on a song for their upcoming debut album. Apparently this "news" was posted on Jada's wikipedia page. So -- unfortunately, I can tell you straight that this is nothing but a false rumor. Jada and JoJo both call the same place home (Boston, MA), and have met a few times, but that's as far as it has gone. I have to say, though -- how hot would that track be?
(Also - FYI - my interview with the girls should be coming very soon. Keep a weather eye out.)
They have, however, collaborated with Mr. Akon (and RedOne) for their Gaga-ish first single, "American Cowboy". Check out this pic of the girls with him from a concert in their hometown last month.
Retail numbers for last week are starting to filter in, and its looking like Dave Matthews Band will be kicking Eminem out of the #1 position for this week. Their new record, Big Whiskey & the Groogrux King, already has a sizeable lead of more than 60K over Eminem's Relapse, which is reporting just over 70K -- with just 50% of the recipts in.
You also might want to know that Mitchel Musso's selftitled debut album is looking at a Top 20 debut if sales keep coming his way. He's currently sitting at #19 with just over 11K. Check out my review of the album here.

Thank God JoJo didn't work with Jada!
i'm quite pleased at the success of DMB!! Yay for them not churning out a million live albums each year and sticking to a studio set for the first time in eons!
