I've had a long and crazy two days what with the whirlwind that is Hollywood Undead coming to New York. They are six crazy guys, who put on a crazy good show (despite their sometimes offensive lyrical content), and are very down-to-earth and just plain funny. Most of the stories I can't really go into on here because they shouldn't be told in mixed company, but if you're interested, let me know. Haha. Here's what's been happening since I blogged last.
- I will talk about this more in depth soon, but U2 has overtaken Taylor Swift on the album chart with the highest amount of album sales in one week so far in 2009.
- The Pussycat Dolls talked to MTV recently about how sad they felt regarding the Danity Kane split. Although this sounds like pandering on the surface, they do have some statements that are pretty real -- its hard to keep girls together in a group, especially in a situation where you are put together.
- Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has officially been cast alongside former 'Supernatural' star (and daughter of teen idol legend David Cassidy and former Jesse McCartney arm candy) Katie Cassidy in the re-launch of "Melrose Place" to be aired on the CW. She does have some acting experience, so...I suppose it's not totally left field. I personally think Ashlee is better off acting than singing (although she could be a song-writer for others). The jury is out on this show concept though. CW makes me kind of sad that it houses all of this recycled schmuck and one of my two must-see shows.
- Carrie Underwood has covered a Motley Crue song for this year's "goodbye" song on 'Idol'. It's a cover of "Home Sweet Home." I won't knock it til I hear it I suppose...
- So wait -- you mean Chris Brown's almost 40 year old manager was the reason for the Chrianna fight? You've got to be kidding! And in other news regarding said drama: Rihanna's Gucci gown that she wore the night of the attack to Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party was taken into custody because it had blood stains on it. ::shakes head::
- Oh, and the Jonas Brothers have announced world tour dates, and that their new album of new material will be in stores on June 15th. I can barely contain my excitement! :)
