...does Darin's "Girl Next Door" and Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" sound A LOT alike?
I'm not complaining, but...please tell me it's not my ears.
UPDATE: And furthermore, "Strobelight" (one of my faves) has a Janet Jackson 'Feedback' type vibe with that "give it to me, give it to me, c'mon".

OMG. It IS the same. I didn't really notice it when I first listened to it but now that you pointed it out, they DO have a lot of similar elements!
I think I know why. 'The Fame' was produced by RedOne, and so was 'Flashback'. Sometime production teams have a distinct sound(Xenomania for GA? Yeah..) or even distinct elements.. so yeah.
